How important are the actual first downs in predicting future outcomes?
The analysis includes all NFL seasons starting on 09-07-1986 til 02-11-2024. There were a total of 9,803 games played.
The average first downs for Away Teams include only games played away and the average first downs by the Home Teams include only games played at home.
