How important are sacks in predicting future outcomes?
The analysis includes all NFL seasons starting on 09-07-1986 til 02-11-2024. There were a total of 9,803 games played.
All averages are cumulative, i.e., all games prior to game date are averaged. Thus, games played in 2023 include all games since 1986.
The average sacks for Away Teams include only games played away and the average sacks by the Home Teams include only games played at home.
